Ekko's splash art

Ekko values nothing higher than his family and his friends. They are the reason he fights for Zaun instead of just leaving it.

Ajuna

Ajuna Lem was one of the Lost Children of Zaun, and a close friend of Ekko’s. Ajuna is featured in the Chronobreak comic, a story centered around Ekko’s attempts to save him by repeating the same ~5 minute period, after Ajuna was murdered by a Piltovan man, who claimed the boy tried to steal his firearm.

Ajuna was much younger than Ekko, about 12 years old. His eagerness to impress and emulate Ekko often led him into dangerous situations, which Ekko dutifully saved him from, until the night he couldn’t.

Ajuna is also mentioned in both of Ekko’s short stories, and appears as a character in Legends of Runeterra. His portrait is featured prominently on the Wall of the Gone.

Aximander

Aximander is one of the Lost Children of Zaun, and Lem’s older brother.

He considers himself a historian and archivist, with a particular focus on the histories of Piltover and Zaun. Aximander is fascinated by the technological and social evolution of the twin cities, and he spends much of his time gathering lost artifacts, decoding old stories, and piecing together timelines others have forgotten or ignored.

Aximander appears in CONV/RGENCE. In the game, he resides at the Hub with the other Lost Children and is among those Ekko returns to in moments of doubt or reflection.

Aximander’s backpack shows a paintbrush, and his area of the hideout is adorned with drawings, suggesting that he may also be an artist.

Inna

Inna is Ekko’s mother, and a lifelong resident of Zaun.

She appears in both CONV/RGENCE and the short story Lullaby, where Ekko’s relationship to his parents is explored in a quiet, domestic moment in their small apartment. In Lullaby, Inna is portrayed as exhausted but emotionally present, summoning warmth and lightness for her son even after long shifts of grueling labor. On the night of Ekko’s name day, she and Wyeth return home with a gift: a small loaf of sweetbread, likely paid for with money they couldn’t spare.

In CONV/RGENCE, Inna lives with Ekko’s father Wyeth in an apartment near the market, where the two maintain a modest rooftop garden. After the spire collapse, she reassures Ekko they were far from the site but mentions orange muck coating parts of Factorywood. Later, in a potential future timeline where Zaun is consumed by toxic fog, Inna and Wyeth are seen preparing to leave the city. When Ekko questions them, she explains that things have grown too dangerous, and their last conversation with him ended poorly. Despite their enduring love for their son, they no longer see a way forward in Zaun.

At the end of the game, Ekko encounters his parents while passing through the market. They are running errands, unaware of how close they came to abandoning Zaun forever. Ekko promises them that he will put in more effort to spend time with them, when he’s not saving the city.

Lem

Lem is one of the Lost Children of Zaun, and the younger brother of Aximander. Lem took up Ajuna’s goggles and surname upon the boy’s death.

Lem is introduced in CONV/RGENCE, where he is rescued by Ekko after being caught in the aftermath of the Poingdestre spire explosion. Shortly after, he reports that a bully with a giant hammer stole Ekko’s Timewinder, prompting Ekko’s mission to recover it. Later, and for most of the game, Lem can be seen at the Hub, where he introduces Ekko to his new dog, Trevor, who Lem has outfitted with a mechanical leg.

Lem is significantly younger than most of the group, often acting with wide-eyed enthusiasm and a desire to prove himself. Despite the dangers of Zaun, he remains optimistic and playful, frequently tagging along with the older children and getting involved in their activities. His bond with Ekko is one of trust and admiration, though his eagerness can sometimes put him in harm’s way, just like his namesake.

In the Hub, Lem is typically seen with Trevor near the Hub’s crafting station.

Wyeth

Wyeth is Ekko’s father, and a longtime resident of Zaun.

He appears in both CONV/RGENCE and the companion comic series A Perfect Life. In the game, he lives in an apartment near the market with his partner Inna When Ekko visits during the investigation of the spire collapse, Wyeth and Inna assure him they were unharmed, having been far from the explosion site.

In A Perfect Life, Wyeth struggles with deteriorating vision and is ultimately persuaded by Ekko to undergo augmentation to restore it. However, the modifications are revealed to be part of a larger scheme by Viktor, who uses the implants to seize control of all who received his implants, including Wyeth, remotely. The story ends with Ekko rescuing his father and destroying the source of Viktor’s influence.

Wyeth is depicted as calm and practical, favoring patience and care over conflict. Though wary of Ekko’s more reckless pursuits, he supports his son’s efforts in his own way, through quiet resilience and the hope that Zaun can still offer a future worth staying for.

Zeri

Zeri is a Zaunite with powerful bioelectric abilities, known for her speed, volatility, and deep loyalty to her community.

Zeri appears in The Unexpected Spark, where she rescues a group of factory hostages from chem-baron enforcers, including Ekko’s parents. After the encounter, she meets Ekko for the first time, and he thanks Zeri for saving his parents.

Zeri does not physically appear in CONV/RGENCE, but she is referenced throughout the game via letters exchanged between herself and Ekko. These messages suggest a developing friendship and mutual respect, as well as an ongoing dialogue between two youths trying to shape their broken city for the better.

Zeri’s actions mark her as a growing presence in Zaun, operating outside the Lost Children but clearly aligned in spirit. Her rescue of Ekko’s parents cements her place in his story, and possibly, his future.
